Learn the pros and cons of Hunting Leases on Private Land on September 27

BEDFORD –This month’s program at 6 p.m. on September 27, features the pros and cons of leasing hunting rights on private land.

The program will be held at the Otis Park Bath House and will speak to the question many private landowners have on whether or not to lease their land for hunting, or allow others to hunt on their land.

Rob Haubry

Rob Haubry has experience helping landowners navigate these decisions and can give insight into some of the mistakes you might make, or why you might consider leasing your land or might want to avoid having hunters on your private land. Haubry said there can be arguments made either way and it’s a decision that needs to be made carefully.

Haubry welcomes questions.

The program is part of the Bedford Parks Program series which presents a different program every month. The historic Otis Park Bath House is located between the Red Brick Mansion and the Golf Course office at 607 Tunnelton Road east of Bedford.

Please RSVP to the Park office for the program by September 23, at 812-275-5692 or email jwebb@bedford.in.us to ensure enough handouts and chairs will be available.

Mark your calendars for the October 25th program on Species Native to Southeastern Indiana presented by Savannah Stout, Indiana Farm Bill Wildlife Biologist.
