Juvenile injures another teen and is arrested on a battery charge

BEDFORD – On Thursday, at 5:08 p.m. Bedford Police officers responded to the skate park in the 1710 block of Q Street after a report of several juveniles with possible weapons.

According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, when officers arrived they found several juveniles at the skate park. An officer located a knife and was told a fight had occurred a few blocks away.

Officers discovered two of the male juveniles were at Thornton Park and had been fighting near 20th and Park streets. One of the male juveniles had “visible injuries”.

A 17-year-old male was detained and issued a summons to appear in juvenile court on a charge of battery. He was released to his mother.
