Donald Eugene Nolan, 92, of Mitchell, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at his residence.
Born November 29, 1929, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Ralph and Kathryn (Burton) Nolan. He married Hilda Tyree on December 2, 1950, and she preceded him in death on November 27, 1987.
Donald was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a 1947 Mitchell High School graduate. Donald was a member of the Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 228 F.&A.M., the LA-OR-MA Shrine Club, and the American Legion Post No. 250.
Surviving is his daughters, Anita Cornwell of Avon and Lou Ann (Tom) Jenkins of Charlestown; grandchildren, Matthew (Melissa) Cornwell, Mark Cornwell, Hilari (Jake) Justice, Kaysi Jenkins, and Zachary Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Cornwell, Dylan Justice, Jaxen Justice, River Justice, and Scout Justice; and sisters, Carolyn Sims of Whiteland and Judy Woods of Ohio.
His parents; wife; son, David Nolan; grandson, Adam Cornwell; and sister, Martha Lois Tritle preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2022 in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Lee Hupp officiating. The burial will be at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
