Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Indiana University issued cease and desist order

BLOOMINGTON – The Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at Indiana University has been placed on a cease and desist until further notice. The order went into effect on Friday, September 2.

Cease and desist is an interim measure of all organization’s activities when there is a threat or ongoing investigation, according to Indiana University’s definitions of disciplinary statuses.

The Sigma Phi fraternity was issued the cease and desist order after allegations of the behavior of endangering members of the organization or the community, according to IU’s list of organizations on disciplinary status.

IU spokesperson Chuck Carney said the investigation is ongoing in collaboration with Sigma Phi Epsilon Headquarters.
