BEDFORD – The 8th Annual 5K Run for Hope is set to return on Thursday, November 24th at the Milwaukee Depot on the corner of 14th and J Streets starting at 9 a.m. and registration is now open.
Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome and encouraged to be a part of this fun, family-friendly event that is designed to promote healthy activity and wellness while benefiting one of Lawrence County’s premiere charities.
Register online at www.beckysplacebedford.org, by mail, or on-site the morning of the event. T-shirts will be available to purchase for $15 on race day while supplies last. Registration packets can be picked up at the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, November 23rd from 12 pm to 6 pm or at the Downtown Depot on race day from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

- 5K Adult (After October 31) – $20
- 5K 18 & Under (Before October 31) – $12
- 5K 18 & Under (After October 31) – $15
- 1 Mile Fun Walk – $10
- T-Shirt (Order by November 14) – $12

All participants will start and finish the race in downtown Bedford at the Downtown Depot. Enjoy a festive atmosphere with music, friends, family, and snacks before and after the race at the start/finish line and during your time on the course.
The first finishing male and female will receive a trophy and all participants will receive a Finisher Medal for participating in the Becky’s Place 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk. 5k participants will also receive a time when finishing.
The event is looking to add sponsors for the event and include:
- Platinum – $1,000
- Gold – $500
- Silver – $300
