Volunteers needed for Bloomington Women in Leadership: Engage with Girls Inc. of Monroe County

BLOOMINGTON – Volunteers are needed for the Bloomington Women in Leadership: Engage with Girls Inc. of Monroe County.

Bloomington Women in Leadership’s three pillars are Empower, Inspire, and Engage. Please consider volunteering your time during this Engage event as we partner with Girls Inc. on Wednesday, October 12th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Girls Inc. programming focuses on the development of the whole girl. Their comprehensive approach addresses all aspects of a girl’s life and helps her discover and develop her inherent strengths and grow up healthy, educated, and independent. A combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment, and research-based programming equips girls to lead fulfilling and productive lives, break the cycle of poverty, and become role models in their community.

Two shifts are available from 11:00 a.m. until Noon and from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Participants will volunteer at Girls Inc. Monroe County to help with creating toiletry to-go packs that will then be placed in the MCCSC and RBBCSC’s middle and high school bathrooms. Participants are asked to donate an item from our Wishlist to create these packs. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
