Upcoming restrictions on I-70 starting on or after August 22 for patchwork near Plainfield

HENDRICKS CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 will be restricted on or after Monday, August 22 for patchwork and the placement of permanent paint striping, near Plainfield.

There will be lane restrictions in both the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 between State Road 267 and the intersection of Ronald Reagan Parkway and Ameriplex Parkway. At least two lanes will be open to eastbound and westbound traffic at all times except for short periods in the westbound lane of I-70 past the S.R. 267 bridge. Wide loads will be able to navigate through the work zone. The restrictions are expected to last until Saturday, September 3, weather permitting.

This project was awarded to Milestone Contractors, L.P. for over $44 million. This project also includes rehabilitation work on the S.R. 267 bridge over I-70, pavement rehabilitation work at the S.R. 267 and I-70 interchange, and various culvert replacements along I-70. The project also includes the installation of signs, lighting, signals, and pavement markings along I-70. It’s expected to be completed in June of 2023.

INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a work zone.
