The Indiana Department of Insurance provides insurance tips to consumers at the 2022 Indiana State Fair

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Insurance (IDOI) works to protect and inform all Hoosiers while ensuring a strong insurance market. Visit the IDOI table at the Indiana State Fair in the Indiana Arts Building on the main level.

The IDOI’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) counselors will be there to offer free and impartial counseling for your questions about Medicare coverage and the options available. SHIP is a program of the IDOI and all of SHIP’s services are free and are not affiliated with any insurance company or agency.

The IDOI Consumer Services Division will provide information about how they can assist you with filing a complaint against an insurance company or agent. You can also get information about other IDOI programs, such as the health insurance Marketplace and open enrollment. Stop by and pick up some fun giveaways, including an educational coloring book for the kids titled “Why Do We Need Insurance?”
