Carlisle man killed in motorcycle crash in Greene County

GREENE CO. — A Carlisle man has died after being hit by a pickup truck shortly after being ejected from his motorcycle on State Road 67.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred Saturday at 11:50 a.m. on State Road 67 north of Switz City.

Robert McKee, 43, of Carlisle, died in the incident, while a 19-year-old Andrew Brown from Vincennes was injured.

The two men were reportedly riding separate motorcycles north on State Road 67. Deputies said for an unknown reason McKee lost control of his bike, causing Brown to also lose control of his bike. Both riders were ejected. McKee continued into the southbound lanes and was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Danny Cliver, 78, of Martinsville. Cliver was not injured.

Brown came to a stop in the northbound lane and was taken to Greene County General Hospital by ambulance with unspecified injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
