Attend one of the Free Performing Arts Series concerts and movies in the park

BLOOMINGTON – The Performing Arts Series of free concerts and movies in the park continues all summer long.

The Bloomington Parks & Recreation Department is excited to be hosting some wonderful concerts and movies this summer in the city parks.

From rock and roll to the blues and from Encanto to Ghostbusters, there’s something for everyone this summer.

Performing Arts Series features concerts every Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in Peoples Park. These concerts run until 6 p.m. with performances by local and regional musicians.

Enjoy concerts on August 7 and August 21 starting at 5:30 p.m. in Bryan Park. Two performers will play back-to-back on these Sundays. Shows run until approximately 8:30 p.m.

Happy Hours on the Lawn at Switchyard Park continues Friday, August 12 at 6 p.m. Enjoy live music throughout the summer. Adult beverages are available for purchase for those 21 yrs. and up. ID check required.

Movies in the Parks series continue on Saturday, August 6 at 9 p.m. with the screening of The Grapes of Wrath (NR) in Switchyard Park, with live music by Tom Roznowski. Grab your picnic blanket, pop some popcorn, and enjoy a movie under the stars.

Admission is free to all concerts and movies.
