BLOOMINGTON – On July 29th at Switchyard Park, you can relive your best childhood field day memories by being a volunteer at Bloomington Parks & Recreation’s field day event.
Those who sign up to volunteer for the event are welcome to attend the event before or after their shift for free.
The event features playground games like kickball, giant lawn games, a throwback video game lounge, adults-only access to the Community Foundation Switchyard Plaza spray pad, music from the 80s, 90s, and 00s, and a photo booth. Beer and wine will be available to purchase. The cost is $5 per person
Volunteers are needed to assist with event set-up, event facilitation, and event teardown. All volunteers for this event must be 21 years of age or older.
There will be two shifts, from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and five volunteers are needed and a second shift from 8 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. and nine volunteers are needed.
Volunteers will meet at Switchyard Park at 1601 South Rogers Street in Bloomington.
