Brycelyn is a member of the Indiana Junior Livestock Association, Turning Point USA, and Sigma Alpha. She will receive a $1,000 scholarship donated by Bedford Federal Savings Bank and has been involved with 4-H for over 10 years. She is currently a Junior at Purdue University. After graduation, she plans to pursue a law degree, where she plans to combine her love of agriculture and passion for law to help farmers.

“I am super excited to be named Queen and I look forward to helping around the fair this week,” said Brycelyn. “I was a 10-year 4-H member and I enjoyed fair week, it was my favorite week of the summer, and I just want it to be the same for every kid out here.”

Being named Queen is a big honor for Brycelyn and it raised some nerves being on the stage in front of those in attendance, but she feels that this isn’t the only thing 4-H offers young girls.

“I really enjoy being Queen, but honestly my favorite thing with my whole time in 4-H is all of the friends that I have made. I was nervous this year, but I have enjoyed every moment of it,” Brycelyn said.

First Runner-up and Miss Congeniality, Izzy Shew

The First Runner-up and Miss. Congeniality, Izzy Shew, was honored to win the Miss Congeniality award in her first-ever pageant, and the opportunity that she had to help the other girls through the event. She has been awarded a $750 scholarship for winning First Runner-up and a $250 scholarship for Miss Congeniality.

“It’s amazing, I am so blessed right now and I can’t wait for this week to represent our County,” Izzy said. “I tried to encourage everyone throughout the whole process because it can be nerve-racking. I know there were a lot of girls who were upset and a little nervous about it, so I just wanted to try to be kind to all and make things happen to have a good week. I will be back next year, I plan on it and I am so excited for Brycelyn for winning this year, she definitely deserved it.”
