Obituary: Jesse P. Leadingham

January 18, 1940 – June 10, 2022

Jesse P. Leadingham, 82, of Bedford, passed away at 10:40 p.m., on Friday, June 10, 2022, at IU Hospice House.

Born January 18, 1940, in Firebrick, KY, he was the son of Kearney and Letha (Boggs) Leadingham. He married Pamela Starling on September 7, 2002, and she survives. Jesse was an auto body shop owner and carpenter. He was a member of the Moose, Bedford Boatclub, and the Groundhog Camping Club.

Survivors include his wife Pamela of Bedford; a daughter, Kelly Neal and husband Brian of Morgantown; a son, Josh Leadingham and wife Jana of Supply, NC; two stepchildren, Deanna Leatherman of Bedford, and Joanna Watson of Bedford; four grandchildren, Kiley Wall and husband Tyler, Daniel Neal, Jacob Leadingham, Jade
Leadingham; one great-grandson, Benjamin Wall; six step-grandchildren; nineteen step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Ratliff of Portland, OR, Pat Murray and husband Arvil of Waverly, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and five sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 14th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Tim Day officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the hour of service time on Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
