Two-day closure begins Saturday on Farmington Road near Seymour

JACKSON CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor RAM Construction Services plans to close Farmington Road (County Road 275 North) over I-65 near Seymour on Saturday, June 4, to complete a bridge deck overlay project.

Farmington Road is expected to close just west of U.S. 31 at approximately 6 a.m. Saturday morning and reopen by 7 p.m. Sunday evening, June 5. The overpass was most recently planned to close for up to 14 days, but that duration has been shortened. Traffic will be rerouted to U.S. 31, U.S. 50 and C.R. 1040 E.

The $300,000 bridge rehabilitation contract also includes deck overlays at three locations on State Road 7 in Jennings County, at Nettle Creek, Sand Creek, and Sixmile Creek. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
