Introduction to Local Jobs and Skills Cohort #9 begins today

LAWRENCE COUNTY – May 16, 2022, will mark the beginning of three weeks of technical and employability skills training to 17 community residents (the largest class of the Lawrence County Introduction to Local Jobs and Skills program to date).

Through this process coordinated by the Workforce Coalition, students can decide on paths of Construction, Machining, and Welding. Students will also be presented with an Introduction to Health & Safety careers and receive CPR, Stop the Bleed, and First Aid certifications.

Each participant will complete their training with a clear path to their “next step,” whether it involves completing their High School Equivalency (at no cost), Next Level Jobs training (at no cost), a job/career, or a combination of these.
