The event will begin at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, May 13, and will take place at the Indiana Sheriffs Association headquarters in Avon.

Senator Young has been a vocal supporter of law enforcement during his time in the Senate. He has fought to ensure police departments are fully funded and officers are protected. Additionally, his Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act was signed into law by President Trump in 2018.

“We must continue to have the backs of the men and women of law enforcement, who serve us and protect us every day,” Senator Young said. “As National Police Week draws to a close, we must remember to thank our police and school resources officers year-round.”
