BLOOMINGTON – The 10th annual School Lunch Hero Day was celebrated on May 6 at Monroe County Community Schools.
The day showcased the difference school nutrition professionals make for every child who comes through MCCSC’s cafeterias. Between preparing healthy meals for students, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, school nutrition professionals are true heroes.
All MCCSC food service employees were gifted a custom apron with the words “Not All Heroes Wear Capes” and also received various food treats.
