LCIS to host open house tonight to celebrate first-year accomplishments

FAYETTEVILLE – Lawrence County Independent Schools are set to host their end-of-the-year open house Tonight, May 10th starting at 5:00 p.m. to show what the kids have been learning and working on during the school’s first year.

Families will have the opportunity to meet with the faculty and staff while also seeing the progress of the Phoenix Farm Garden Club.

The school will also host a playground palooza on May 28th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., which will include a pancake breakfast, a 5k race, and a vendor market and new this year will be a bounce house for the kids as well as a BBQ smoke off.

Money raised during the palooza will go towards the installation of new playground equipment and the future maintenance required for the materials.

Booth spaces for the palooza are available for $40, which will give an 8×8 space. Those interested in the event can email jrlyons@lcis.education for more information.
