Spring property taxes are due May 10th

BEDFORD – Lawrence County Treasurer Jody Edwards announced spring property tax statements are being mailed on Wednesday, April 13th.

The spring installment will be due on May 10, 2022.

The Treasurer’s Office will be open Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for those who would like to pay taxes in person. While not required, bringing your tax statements will provide a speedier process.

“We will accept cash, checks, or money orders in the office,” said Edwards. “You may pay by credit or debit by calling the toll-free number or using the tax payment website.”

Current tax and credit card payment information may be found online at www.lawrencecounty.in.gov/government/treasurer. Credit and debit card payments are not accepted in the office.

“You will also have the option of using one of the payment drop boxes,” Edwards added One will be located before the security desk and another past the security desk, outside of the Treasurer’s office door. Remember that if you choose to come to our office, you will need to go through a security screening. If you choose to use the dropbox option, please place your payment coupon along with your payment in an envelope, along with contact information in case we need to contact you.”
