The canal goes blue for Child Abuse Prevention Month

MARION CO. – The Indiana Department of Child Services, in partnership with Children’s Bureau + Families First, will honor Child Abuse Prevention Month by dyeing the Indiana Central Canal blue on Tuesday, April 12 at 9 a.m. at the Indiana Central Canal at the Ohio Street Basin.

Guest speakers will be:

  • Peggy Surbey, Indiana Department of Child Services
  • Tina Cloer, Children’s Bureau + Families First
  • Marlin Jackson, prevention partner and former Indianapolis Colts cornerback
  • Peggy Surbey, Regional Manager of Marion County Department of Child Services
  • Tina Cloer, president/CEO of Children’s Bureau + Families First
  • Marlin Jackson, prevention partner and former Indianapolis Colts cornerback

The speakers will share information about local prevention efforts and the importance of Child Abuse Prevention Month.
