43rd Annual Youth Leadership Camp announces two sessions

BEDFORD – Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham has announced that the Indiana Sheriff’s Association will be
holding their 43rd Annual Youth Leadership Camp in June and July.

The Indiana Sheriff’s Association Youth Leadership Camp is for boys and girls that are currently in the 7th or 8th grade and are interested in learning more about a career in law enforcement.

There will be two camp sessions this year, with the first being held June 13-16, 2022 at Pine Creek Camp in Pine Village Indiana in Warren County which serves the northern part of the state. The second session will be held June 28-30, 2022, and will serve the southern part of the state at Waycross Episcopal Camp in Morgantown, Indiana in Brown County.

“The camp provides a very meaningful experience and relationship with other campers from throughout the state. Officers from different sheriff departments will be serving as counselors and instructors,” Chief Deputy Gregg Taylor.

The deadline to register for the North Camp is June 1, 2022. The deadline to register for the South Camp is June 15, 2022.

Sheriff Branham announced that arrangements may be made to provide a sponsorship for the camp registration fee of $25.00 through a local business or civic organization for anyone interested.
