Register now to vote in Primary Election – Early voting begins Tuesday, April 5th

BEDFORD – Indiana’s May 3rd Primary Election is fast approaching and Lawrence County Clerk Billie Tumey is reminding residents who need to register to vote for the first time, or need to transfer to a new precinct or make name changes the time to do that is now.  The deadline to register to vote or to update your registration is 4:00 p.m. on April 4.

Tumey reminds voters that they will need a government-issued photo I.D. such as a passport, driver’s license, or a government-issued I.D. to register.

 To be eligible to vote, citizens must be 18 years of age by the General Election on November 8, 2022.

In other election-related news, early voting will begin on Tuesday, April 5th.  Early voting will continue Monday through Friday until noon on May 2nd.
