State Fire Marshal offering rewards for information on two Jackson County fires

JACKSON CO. – The Indiana Office of the State Fire Marshal is offering a reward up to $5,000 for any information that leads to a conviction in two Jackson County fires.

On Feb. 23, a structure fire was reported on West County Road 300 North in Freetown. Just a few hours later, on Feb. 24, there was a second structure fire reported in Medora.

Both properties were owned by the same individuals and are being investigated as arson, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
