BEDFORD – The Lawrence County Commissioners granted Crossroads Community Church permission to use the courthouse parking area on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
Pastor Lyndon Hopkins said they will be holding a service with special speaker Dr. Robert Jeffress. He is expecting between 3,000 to 5,000 people will be attending the event which will begin at 7 p.m.
Personnel from the church will be setting up at Harp Commons on that day between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Church officials have approval from Lawrence County Emergency Management and a meeting is scheduled for March 18th with Bedford Mayor Sam Craig and Sheriff Mike Branham to address any additional questions or concerns.
Dr. Jeffress is an American Southern Baptist pastor, author, radio host, and televangelist. He is the senior pastor of the 14,000-member First Baptist Church, a megachurch in Dallas, Texas, and is a Fox News contributor. His sermons are broadcast on the television and radio program Pathway to Victory, which is broadcast on more than 1,200 television stations in the United States and 28 other countries and is heard on 900 stations and broadcasted in 195 countries.
