SHAWSWICK TOWNSHIP – A field fire was reported to the Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department at 4:48 p.m. Monday in the 5400 block of Sand Pit Road.
Shawswick Volunteer Fire Chief Bob Brown said that it was a controlled burn, as the owner of the property had reported it to dispatch.
Chief Brown was on scene for no more than 10 minutes before leaving the property.
