Bedford Board of Zoning Appeals approves special exception permit during Tuesday meeting

BEDFORD – During the Bedford Board of Zoning Appeals meeting Tuesday afternoon, the board held a public hearing for the approval of a special exception permit request for Arthur Wilmoth for his property located at 118 Bailey Scales Rd.

Arthur had to request the special exception permit to approve a type II manufactured home to be placed on the property. He first met with the Plan Commission for an initial hearing on February 8th before appearing in front of the Zoning Appeals board for final approval.

The location of the property where the structure will be placed

After not receiving any notices or comments from the public, the board approved the request for Wilmoth to place a trailer home on the property, as long as he follows the step-by-step process in placing the structure and securing it to the ground.

A request for a special permit was delayed to the March meeting for a car wash to be located at 3160 John Williams Boulevard. The permit request will have to go before the Plan Commission before final approval in March.
