The city of Bloomington invites community groups, artists, food vendors to take part in the Inaugural International Food & Art Festival on April 10

BLOOMINGTON – Community groups are invited to join the city’s first International Food & Art Festival by hosting interactive spaces where visitors can learn about and explore other cultures, for artists from across the globe to display and demonstrate works of art, and to offer a variety of food from around the world.

The International Food & Art Festival is scheduled for Sunday, April 10 from 2-6 p.m. on Fourth Street in downtown Bloomington, between Dunn Street and Grant Street, and in the Dunkirk Square parking lot. Fourth Street will be closed between Dunn Street and Grant Street that day for the Festival.

According to event coordinator Leslie Brinson, the Parks and Recreation Department seeks community groups, artisans, and restaurants or food vendors to participate in the Festival, interact with the community, and bring unique flavors.

Those who would like to participate in the Festival may apply online. Applications are due March 11. There is no cost to participate. Space for entertainment and activities is limited, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until all available spaces are filled.

Applications may be found online at bloomington.in.gov/parks/events/food-festival.

“We’re excited to activate Fourth Street in this street fair style and celebrate the unique cultures of our community,” Brinson said.
