MCCSC and RBB receive grant funding to expand work-based learning opportunities

BLOOMINGTON – Monroe County Community School Corporation and Richland Bean-Blossom recently partnered together to receive a $5,000 pilot grant and wage subsidies from the High School Employment Aid Readiness Network (EARN) Indiana Expansion Pilot Grant.

Thanks to this grant, both school corporations will implement a plan to expand equitable access to work-based learning opportunities for Monroe County students.

In addition to the initial grant amount, in summer 2022, both school corporations may be eligible to receive additional supplemental grant dollars – up to $25,000 and additional EARN wage subsidies.

This opportunity will support Monroe County high school students in meeting graduation pathways requirements, increase equitable access to work-based learning opportunities, and encourage proactive employer engagement with students and schools to develop talent in the region.
