Lawrence County deputies graduate from SWILEA Class

BEDFORD – On Friday, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department had four officers graduate from the Southwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (SWILEA) Class 21-30 in Evansville. 

Officers Calvin Callahan, Robin Compton Jr., Bailey Duprey, and Brenten Trueblood have spent the past 16 weeks attending the academy.

Officers received training in criminal and traffic law, firearms, physical tactics, emergency vehicle operations, firearms, and other pertinent topics and issues relevant to law enforcement.
