MCCSC recognized for equity innovator honorable mention RISING STAR

BLOOMINGTON – The Monroe County Community School Corporation was recognized for Equity Innovator Honorable Mention RISING STAR.

The Midwest Equity Assistance Center acknowledges districts and corporations that are engaging in systemic equity efforts focused on changing outcomes and opportunities for students.

The Rising Star is awarded to districts that are engaged in equity work at the district and building levels. A district that has shown potential and striving for long-term, sustainable transformative change, ensuring student access to and participation in safe, inclusive, high-quality education regardless of and responsive to race, sex, national origin, and religion. Several actions of the Equity Project Team and building equity teams were noted as innovative.
