SEYMOUR – A FAFSA completion night event is planned for Thursday night from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Seymour High School, located at 1350 West Second Street in Seymour.

The free event is open to any student and their parents interested in learning more about how to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions and help those in the online application process to ensure submission by state and institutional deadlines.

Students should bring a Chromebook, an FSA identification (create it ahead of time at fsaid.ed.gov), a Social Security number, an Alien Registration Number (if not a U.S. citizen), 2020 federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned and bank statements and records of investments and untaxed income (if applicable).

In most cases, students also will need to bring the above information for their parents.

Attendees must wear a mask, and social distancing will be observed.
