Two Bedford women arrested on meth charges

BEDFORD – Two Bedford women were arrested Friday on drug charges after a Bedford Police officer stopped the driver of the vehicle for failing to utilize a turn signal at 21st and H streets.

Police arrested the driver 47-year-old Vicki Vaught and her passenger 41-year-old Misty Silvers on charges of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.

Vaught refused to allow officers to search her vehicle. A K9 alerted officers to drugs in the vehicle. Police found a glass smoking device and a paper towel containing crystal meth in Vaught’s sweater pocket.

In the vehicle, police found another glass smoking device containing meth residue and a plastic baggie containing crystal meth. 

Both women were arrested.
