K-9 alerts officers to meth in truck

BEDFORD – A Mitchell man was arrested Friday after a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputy stopped the vehicle at Speedway at the intersection of State Road 37 and US 50 West for an inoperable license plate light.

Robert Lintz

The driver of the truck 28-year-old Robert Lintz was driving on a suspended driver’s license with a prior conviction.

The officer said Lintz was nervous and refused to allow the officer to search the truck.

K-9 Dusty alerted his handler to drugs in the truck.

On the floorboard, the officer found a plastic cylinder that contained meth.

Lintz was then charged with possession of meth.
