Man and woman arrested in connection to Brown County homicide

BROWN CO. –– A man and a woman face charges in connection to a rural Brown County homicide investigation.

On Wednesday, Detectives Tim Cummins and Ian Matthews from the Indiana State Police Bloomington Post along with several other Troopers, and including Indiana State Police SWAT served search warrants in Indianapolis regarding the homicide investigation of 38-year-old Angela Weisheit, of Indianapolis, which started in November of 2020.

Weisheit’s body was discovered on Saturday, November 21st after the Brown County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call reporting a body found near Bean Blossom Road and Bell Road.

Investigators arrested 64-year-old Paul S. Fox, of Indianapolis, on a charge of murder and 28-year-old Candy Lopez Ortega, on a felony charge of assisting a criminal.

Both individuals were incarcerated at Brown County Jail and the Indiana State Police was assisted by the Brown County Sheriffs Department, Brown County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Indianapolis Metro Police Department Homicide Division.
