BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested on a charge of child molesting.
Bedford Police arrested 31-year-old Jeremy Trowbridge.
According to a probable cause affidavit, on June 1, 2021 Bedford Police detectives received information about a sexual offense involving a 4-year-old female and Trowbridge.
Detectives met with the child and her mother at IU Health Hospital’s emergency room.
The mother told police she caught Trowbridge with her daughter in a bedroom. Trowbridge had allegedly touched the child in a sexual manner.
Trowbridge told police he was removing cat hair from the child’s private area.
According to the Department of Child Services, they received information from the hospital that said the child suffered no injuries to the child’s private area and hospital staff did find possible cat hair in and near the child’s private areas.
The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and a warrant was issued for Trowbridge’s arrest.
