Bedford woman arrested after entering a home on Windwood Drive

BEDFORD – A  Bedford woman was arrested after Bedford Police officers were called to a home in the 1800 block of Circle Drive after a report of a woman wandering about, wearing two different shoes and a coonskin cap and appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

Mariah Flynn

When police arrived they found 30-year-old Mariah Flynn either having a possible mental crisis or was under the influence of drugs.

Officers requested an ambulance to the scene to evaluate Flinn.  A male then offered to go with Flynn to the hospital.

Flynn and the male walked together to the back of the ambulance which was parked up the road. The ambulance was parked a distance away because Circle Drive is a cul-de-sac and blocked with vehicles.

Once at the ambulance, Flynn fled.

Officers then began searching for Flynn in order to assist her in getting medical attention and ensure her safety.

Officers found Flynn inside a home in the 2500 block of Windwood Drive.  The homeowner told police he was in his room when he heard the front door open and a woman came inside asking for help and “they were trying to kill her”. He asked who was trying to hurt her and she said “the police”.

Once she entered the home home, Flynn plugged in her cell phone to charge it.

The woman was not given permission to enter the home.

Flynn was arrested on charges of residential entry.

Flynn continued to remain in an agitated and uncooperative attitude.

A few hours later, a bag was found stashed at the home on Windwood Drive. In the bag, officers found two used syringes.
