Bedford man arrested after found in road yelling at motorists

BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested on Sunday night after officers were called to 17th and G streets after a report of an intoxicated man yelling at passing vehicles.

When officers arrived they located 35-year-old Jeremy Evans in the roadway.

Evans told police he was just out walking and not bothering anyone.

Police say Evans was intoxicated.

As Officers were speaking with Evans he began to lose his balance and backed into the bumper of a nearby truck and attempted to sit on it. He was told to get off the vehicle and then leaned on a utility pole. 

Due to his level of intoxication Evans was arrested on a charge of public intoxication.
