Widows and Crows win Battle of the Bands at Lawrence County 4-H Fair

BEDFORD – The first-place winner in the Lawrence County 4-H Fair Battle of the Bands 2021 held on Saturday, July 17th was the band, “Widows and Crows”.

The Evansville trio of Tony Soellner on vocals and guitar, Dustin Stephen on Bass, and Matt Qualls on drums took home a check for $1,000 and a trophy.

 Second Place winner of $250 was “Boiler”, a Mitchell Indiana band comprised of Chuck Davis on guitar and vocals. His two sons, Ike on guitar and vocals and Jack on drums rounded out the band’s talent.

The winner of the People’s Choice Award of $100 and a gift card was the band “St. Vinney” of Bedford.   “St. Vinney” was comprised of Elijah Hicks on drums and backup vocals, Brayden Mikels on bass, Jared Prince on lead guitar, and Morgan Gulley who performs lead vocals.

A total of $340 was raised in the People’s Choice Award and was donated to the Lawrence County 4-H Club.
