Indiana taxpayers to receive refund

STATEHOUSE – Thanks to Indiana’s booming economy, Hoosiers will receive a larger refund when they file their taxes next year. State Reps. Jake Teshka (R-South Bend) and Peggy Mayfield (R-Martinsville) discuss how excess revenues of about $1.1 billion will be split equally between paying off pension obligations and returning money to the taxpayers. While the final refund amount will not be calculated until later this year, early estimates suggest the refund could be as high as $170 per individual filer or $340 for joint filers.
