Zazu makes an alert, police find narcotic and legend drugs with used syringes

BEDFORD – A Mitchell woman was arrested after a Bedford Police officer stopped the driver for speeding on Mitchell Road.

The driver of the vehicle was 26-year-old Nichole Terrell. She told the officer her speedometer was broken and did not work. 

She was asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle and she said no, but canine Zazu alerted officers otherwise.

Officers then learned Terrell was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear and she was detained.

Police found and seized a baggie that contained Fentanyl, used syringes, and Bupropion  Hydrochloride during the vehicle search. Terrell did not have a prescription for the Bupropion  Hydrochloride pills.

She was arrested on the warrant and charges of possession of a narcotic drug and a legend drug and charges for unlawful possession of a syringe.
