Heltonville man arrested after allegedly headbutting a woman

HELTONVILLE – A Heltonville man was arrested on a charge of domestic battery after an incident on May 21.

Brady Davis

Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested 50-year-old Brady Davis on Monday.

According to a probable cause affidavit on May 21 at 1:44 a.m. a woman was on station to report she had been injured by Davis. The woman reported she and Davis got into an argument the night before and it continued into the morning. Davis accused the woman of cheating. He then got mad after the woman refused to make a payment on his credit card, saying she didn’t have the money to make that payment.

The woman said Davis got in her face and  began hitting her with his baseball cap. He then headbutted the woman. Police say the woman had red marks on her face. The woman said she got dizzy and once she got her bearings she and her two children left the home.

Police attempted to call Davis but were unsuccessful. Police then went to his home and found Davis in the driveway.

Davis told police the two got into an argument because he believed the woman was cheating.

He denied injuring the woman.

The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
