INDIANA – Starting July 1, lawful Hoosier gun owners no longer have to pay a fee to obtain a five-year or lifetime license to carry a handgun. State Rep. Ben Smaltz (R-Auburn), who wrote legislation to remove the fee, says he’ll continue to work on strengthening Hoosiers’ Second Amendment right.
