BEDFORD – The North Lawrence Community School board approved the student lunch and textbook fees for the upcoming school year to remain the same as last year.

However, the prices for adult lunches will increase for the upcoming year. The increase in this lunch price was recommended by the USDA who administers the program.

The board also approved to advertise bids for an engineering study for a Guaranteed Energy Savings project through Performances Services Inc. This is part of a $2.6 million bond for the HVAC systems for the auxiliary gym at Bedford North Lawerence High School and former Stalker Elementary School. The work is not expected to start until next summer.

NLCS board also approved to hire American Clean and Seal for the leaning and painting of the pool at the Bedford North Lawrence High School.

The easement for Center Point Energy at Lincoln Elementary was put on hold until the next board meeting to better understand the project.

The next scheduled school board meeting will be held on July 15, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
