Funeral Service for fallen Monroe County deputy will be streamed live

BLOOMINGTON – In preparation for Tuesday’s funeral service of Monroe County Deputy James A. Driver, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office would like to advise the public of the potential of increased traffic in the area of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church.

Deputy Driver was killed in an accident responding to a call on Monday, March 29, 2021. He leaves behind a wife and three children.

Police suggested to motorists avoid the area of East Rogers Road and South Sare Road unless they are attending the services.

As a reminder, visitation will be 10:00 a.m. and last until funeral services at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, 2700 East Rogers Road, in Bloomington.

Upon completion of the funeral service at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church all ceremonies will be complete. There will be no procession or graveside services so prepare for long wait times in the area as attendees leave the service.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and face mask will be required to attend the services.

The services inside the church will be streamed live at this link.
