SHOALS – A second Martin County man was arrested on Saturday on a warrant for rape.
In January 2021, an Indiana State Police detective began an investigation into an allegation of rape involving 22-year-old Sean Wininger, and 33-year-old Waylon Wininger, and a female victim.
On Saturday, March 27, a Martin County Sheriff’s Department deputy and an Indiana State Trooper located Sean Wininger walking on Progress School Road in Martin County. He was taken into custody without incident on a Level 3 felony charge of rape and transported to the Martin County Jail.

The investigation resulted also in a warrant being issued for Waylon Wininger’s arrest.
On Saturday, March 20th, a Martin County Sheriff’s Department deputy and ISP trooper found Waylon Wininger walking on Progress School Road in Martin County and he was arrested without incident on a Level 3 felony charge of rape and transported to the Martin County Jail.
