Debra Pettyjohn, 63, of Bedford and formerly of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 with her family by her side.
Born December 29, 1956 she was the daughter of Phyllis and
Herbert Vantuyle. Debra worked as a CNA at Garden Villa for many years. She finished her career at her dream job, by serving the residents of Bliss Place. She was a member of River’s Edge Fellowship Church in Bedford.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her daughter, Jeanette (Nettie) Bandell and her husband Rick of Rising Sun, MD; son, Chris Harris of Bedford; grandsons, Aaron Bandell and his wife Abigail, Jacob Bandell, and Cody Harris; Sister, Dawn Patton and her husband Kenny of Bedford; nephews Zach Patton, Sheldon Patton, Britain Patton and his wife Katie and Brogan Patton; and her mother, Phyllis Vantuyle of Bedford.
Funeral services for Debra Pettyjohn will be Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 3 p.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service at Ferguson-Lee. Cremation will follow with burial at a later date in Leatherwood Cemetery.
