Three Additional City Of Bloomington Employees Report Positive COVID-19 Test Results Monday

(BLOOMINGTON) – Three additional City of Bloomington employees reported positive results of COVID-19 viral tests–two employees work in the Sanitation Division of the Public Works Department and the other is an employee of the Bloomington Police Department (BPD) Central Emergency Dispatch Center.  

One Sanitation Division employee received a positive result today, November 23, of a COVID-19 viral test administered Thursday, November 19. The second Sanitation Division employee received a positive result Friday afternoon, November 20, of a COVID-19 viral test administered Monday, November 16.  

Both employees are isolating at home, per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) protocols, and on paid leave. Cleaning protocols have been completed to disinfect equipment, vehicles, and facilities with which the employee may have had contact.

Also, one employee of the Bloomington Police Department (BPD) who works in the Central Emergency Dispatch Center received positive results of COVID-19 viral tests Tuesday, November 23, of a COVID-19 viral test administered Wednesday, November 18.  

Today’s announcement marks the 25th, 26th, and 27th COVID-19 diagnoses among City workers since the start of the pandemic. See the table below.
