Two Issued Summons To Appear In Court After Traffic Stop

(BEDFORD) – A driver and her passenger were issued summons early Saturday morning to appear in court after a Bedford Police officer stopped them after the driver was traveling the wrong way on J Street between 16th and 17th streets.

The driver, 18-year-old Sarah McPherson, and her passenger, 21-year-old Jacob Magness, did not have valid driver’s licenses.

“McPherson gave officers consent to search the vehicle where they located marijuana, paraphernalia, and synthetic marijuana,” said Chief Terry Moore. “McPherson and Magness were given court summons for their charges and released from the scene.”

McPherson is facing charges of driving a vehicle while never licensed and Magness is facing charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
