(BLOOMINGTON) – A child was injured Wednesday afternoon while walking trails on Valley Mission Road at the Spillway at Lake Monroe.
Around 3:20 p.m. Monroe Fire Protection District and IU Health Ambulance crews were dispatched to the location after the child tumbled almost 120 feet while hitting a ledge before falling to the ground below.
The child was taken to IU Bloomington Hospital then transferred to a Indianapolis hospital for further treatment.
