Rescue Crews Find Missing Woman At Hoosier Horse Camp

(NORMAN) – A missing woman has been found after she went missing at the Hoosier Horse Camp in Norman Thursday night.

The 66-year-old woman, who works as a hostess at the campground and is familiar with the trails, was horseback riding when the horse returned to camp but she did not.

Sheriff Deputy Billy Dishman says the woman suffered a medical condition.

Searchers used horses, all-terrain vehicles, and walked the area. The woman was located 10 minutes after the search began.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Jackson County Volunteer Fire Departments, Pleasant Run VFD, Indiana Conservation officers, and local residents and campers participated in the search.
